Support the MU Life Sciences and Society Program
We are committed to keeping registration for the LSSP Symposium free for all participants. We do, however, incur costs by bringing high quality programs to YOU - the university and the public - every year.
Whether it's $5 or $500, we greatly value and appreciate your tax-deductible donations of ANY size to the Life Sciences & Society Program!
Gifts of $100 or more entitle the donor to receive 2 tickets to the VIP reception and culinary competition on Friday, March 16.
*Please see details about the VIP reception below.
One-time and on-going sponsorship opportunities are also available, and we look forward to working with you. Contact LSSP Director, Stefani Engelstein, for details at EngelsteinS@Missouri.edu or 573-884-6883.
Making an online donation: Proceed to the online giving form.
Under "Fund" select "Life Sciences and Society Gift Fund".
Enter the amount of your gift in the box to the right.
* VIP Reception
- The catered VIP reception will precede the Keynote Address in Jesse Hall on Friday, March 16, 5:30-6:30, and will be attended by symposium speakers, planners, and contributors of $100 or more. It will also feature a cooking competition among high school students learning culinary arts with local culinary expert Brook Harlan at the Columbia Area Career Center. Students will divide up into groups representing the 5 senses. Each group will create a signature item focused on appealing to their assigned sense. You will receive your invitation via email.
- Because the value of the 2 tickets is $40, $40 of any donation above $100 will not be tax deductible.
- If you wish to forego the reception invitations and donate the entire amount to the LSSP, there will be an opportunity to indicate this preference on the on-line giving form.
- You will receive an appropriate receipt for tax purposes.
